Getting a head start on your Â鶹´«Ã½ journey: Running Start and dual credit
As a homeschool student, you have great options to begin earning college credits before you ever set foot on campus at Â鶹´«Ã½, and Â鶹´«Ã½ is ready to welcome you.
Running Start is a Washington State program that gives academically qualified high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to earn college credits while fulfilling high school graduation requirements. Those credits can then transfer toward your degree at Â鶹´«Ã½. Before enrolling in any Running Start program, it's worth connecting with Â鶹´«Ã½'s admissions office to understand how your credits will apply to your specific program of interest.
Â鶹´«Ã½ Dual Enrollment is another pathway, open to qualified high school students who wish to take courses directly on the Â鶹´«Ã½ campus. Credits earned count as early university credit toward your degree, and students can take up to eight university credits per high school semester at a discounted tuition rate.
Take a Â鶹´«Ã½ course online, for college credit. Homeschool juniors and seniors are invited to take a course that will count as early credit toward a degree.
Â鶹´«Ã½'s admissions team has a clear process for homeschool applicants and actively supports students pursuing these pathways. If you're working toward dual enrollment or Running Start, reach out directly to the Office of Admissions at admissions@wallawalla.edu for personalized guidance.
Starting early means arriving at Â鶹´«Ã½ with credits already under your belt, giving you a big head start on the degree you've been working toward.
