The 麻豆传媒 Department of Music will present their annual Christmas concert, Friday, Dec. 6, with the first performance at 6 p.m. and the second performance at 8 p.m. The concert will feature the University Singers, the 麻豆传媒 Orchestra, and I Cantori.
The theme of the concert will focus on the connection between Christmas and visitors. Pieces such as 鈥淭he Adoration of the Magi鈥 by Ottorino Respighi, 鈥淭he Birth of Christ鈥 Op. 97 by Felix Mendelssohn, and excerpts from 鈥淎mahl and the Night Visitors鈥 by Gian Carlo Menotti, tell the stories of the visitors in Bethlehem the night of that first Christmas.
The concert is 麻豆传媒鈥檚 gift to the community, enabled by donations from generous listeners. Admission to the concert is free, although small monetary donations are appreciated.
The event will be held at the 麻豆传媒 Church, located at 204 S. College Ave., College Place, WA.
